Drop it. Dissolve it. Drink it. Those are the quick instructions Chicago-based BE Innovations Inc. gives for the use of its quarter-size ZYM electrolyte tablets. The small effervescent drops — which fizz and dissolve in water like Alka-Seltzer tablets — are made to ease the process of converting plain water into a vitamin-fortified, electrolyte-rich sports drink.

Benieuwd of dit ook ergens in België verkrijgbaar is. Wel makkelijk als sportdrank.. Fles water, tablet erin en klaar is kees! Volgens de site zijn er wel UK dealers, maar of deze uitvoeren naar het vasteland en tegen welke kosten?

Hierbij een interessante link gevondnen voor de instellingen automatisch naar je GSM nummer te laten versturen met de juiste settings overeenkomstig je GSM-type en de settings van je provider.

Watching BBC video's

Door het feit dat de BBC kijkt uit welke gedefinieerd land je surft worden (naar goede Britse gewoonte) de niet Britten uitgesloten. Als je toch eens naar een interessante uitzending wil kijken kan je dat door te zeggen dat je in de UK zit te surfen en heb je wél mogelijkheid om naar reeds uitgezonden uitzendingen te kijken.

Een handige uitleg is hier terug te vinden; Ga ik straks eens uitproberen op mijn Mac (het is te zeggen, mijn niet productie pc ;-)). Benieuwd of het zo makkelijk is!

Jami Olivier in America

Jamie Olivier, the english chef has done amazing things in English health care among the youngsters in basic schools. Looking to get those kids proper food during the schooldays he now has turned his eye upon America.
If you have the possibility to look to the US Channel ABC this night you can have a look to this hartbreaking story about his queste in the states.

If not you can have a look to this trailer and perhaps keep an eye on TED, where this show will be (hopefully) broadcast soon!

Google hits the speedlimit

I published an entry  3 hours ago and was looking to a combination of "aka aki n900 nokia" and already find my hit after 3 minutes! Extremely fast that Google is harvesting the new content on the web. Could it be that my tags are right..

Mobile Convention Amsterdam 1/04/2010

Yes, i got a free entry card from Concept7 for the Mobile Convention on the 1st of April in Amsterdam. Thanks a lot. I look forward to be there and listen to some keynote speakers. As there are:

Well, those are the keynote speakers, but there a lot more interesting things to hear to. We will update you asap.

Woldring Porselein

De nieuwste site van Woldring Porselein bevat hele mooie dingen die als je zou kopen, kan 'koesteren' en naar kijken omdat ze zo mooi zijn! Tijdloze dingen die je koopt en soms/vaak gebruikt en met wat voorzichtigheid zijn zelfs aan je kinderen kan overgeven. Zelf heb ik zo wat porselein thuis staan die zeker meer dan 50 jaar oud is en nog steeds wondermooi is om naar te kijken. Gebruiken doe ik het niet. zoals zo vaak ben je op een sentimentele basis gehecht aan deze oude dingen: als ze dan ook nog mooi zijn..

Deze site laat alle modellen zien die zij in huis hebben en waarvan je de afbeeldingen netjes kunt bekijken. Je kan ze zelf bestellen ;-)!

Augmented Reality

Stefan Wobben van Concept7 beschrijft het principe van Augmented Reality en verwijst naar het boek van BJ Fogg . Het principe dewelke hij hieronder ondermeer beschrijft lijkt me een leuk idee om bepaalde concepten uit te proberen in een 'virtuele' omgeving alvorens je overgaat tot echte implementatie.

Lijkt me een aanrader om eens het boek ter hand te nemen.
 

Samsung past het principe van oorzaak-en-gevolg prachtig toe met behulp van Augmented Reality. Stel je overweegt de aanschaf van een nieuwe tv en bent benieuwd hoe deze in je huiskamer zal staan. Je gaat naar de website download en print het icoon en plakt deze op je muur. Je richt je webcam op de muur en voià je zit onmiddellijk hoe de tv uiteindelijk zal staan in je woonkamer.

Nokia N900

Na een tijd van HTC dual Touch gebruik, waar ik niet zo stuk van (traag, regelmatig resetten,....) zag ik de kans op 'goedkoop' de nieuwe Nokia N900 te kopen. Een intelligent GSM toestel waar een Linux variant op draait m.n. Maemo 5.
Deze laatste is een Open Source product gratis is te verkrijgen.

Deze Nokia is even groot als een iPhone en heeft een resolutie van 800x480 pixels. Dus ik kijk ernaar uit om deze Maemo voluit te gebruiken en daarbij nog een hoogwaardig multi-media toestel erbij te krijgen.

FTP Migration for blogger

I noticed the remark to move to a own (new/existing) domain name or using a blogspot domain name only today and adapted the settings. The publishing is now going directy to my own blog domain name and not through the ftp service from blogger.

Let us see if this will work: when you see this post everything is ok!

Annotation: every thing works fine and its going really, really fast!

Update 21/03: the posted messages receives an URL, but he doesn't exists on the server,yet? But they are not shown on the site. You can see the coming content through http://proxify.com/.

Update 2- 21/03: thanks to the good fellows at HostForWeb they changed the CNAME according the instructions from Google and i can see the content and the immediate changes on the posts throught the proxify site. So after the full propagation has been going around, everything should be fixed tomorrow and something!

Padden tocht

Vandaag na een boslooopje en in de buurt van een grote venplas, twee padden tegengekomen: de een op de ander zoals hiernaast aangegeven!
Het is wel niet mijn eigen foto, want ik had natuurlijk mijn GSM in de auto laten liggen, maar het geeft exact weer wat ik gezien heb.
Leuk, lijkt wel het begin van de lente: het was trouwens best warm (16°C).
